KESTCAP (Korea EU Science and Technology Cooperation Advancement Programme) ist das vom 7. EU Rahmenprogramm (FP7) unterstützte Kooperationsprogramm, das vom NRF (National Research Foundation) vom Koreanischen Ministerium für Bildung und Forschungund dem durch die Zusammenarbeit von koreanischen und deutschen Regierungen gegründeten KIST Europe Forschungsinstitut durchgeführt wird.

------------------------------ Invitation Letter: The 2nd KESTCAP Top Down Forum Dear Sir or Madam, I am sending you this letter to kindly invite to the 2nd KESTCAP Top Down Forum which will be held on 29th April 2010 in Saarbruecken, Germany. This forum has its aim to promote Korean S&T/RTD and Korea-EU Cooperation in Europe and provide many useful facts and information in order to enhance R&D collaboration between Korea and EU. KESTCAP, Korea EU Science and Technology Cooperation Advancement Programme, is based on the Agreement on Science and Technology cooperation between Korea and the EU signed in 2006. It is one of the EU Framework Programme to support S&T cooperation and has been launched on July, 2008. The Main goals of KESTCAP are to: provide a platform to strengthen the S&T cooperation between Korea and the EU; and improve this cooperation by identifying the common interests of the S&T fields of Korea and the EU. KESTCAP is based on joint Korea-EU interest and aims at mutual benefit by strengthening the S&T agreement between Korean and the EU. In order to provide the best solution for the advancement of cooperation between Korea and the EU, the National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF) in coordination with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MEST) of Korea and KIST-Europe in Germany propose a cooperative framework of the KESTCAP. The forum consists of two sessions, Energy & Environmental technology and Bio & Nano technology. The lectures will provide the present status and prospective of the research area, examples of cooperation with Korea and expectations to foster the collaboration with Korea.
