To Whom it may concern,
I am the Recruiting Manager at McKinsey & Company who is responsible for the recruiting efforts in the Seoul office.
McKinsey & Company is an international management consulting firm which advises the top management of private, public and non-profit organizations on issues of strategy, organization, and operations. The firm is committed to helping its clients resolve their most challenging problems and make their most critical decisions. Founded in 1926 in the United States, McKinsey has grown into global firm with 6,000 consultants working out of 83 offices, in 45 countries around the world.
Right now, the Seoul office is one of the most exciting and dynamic offices within McKinsey. Over the years, we have recruited some of Korea’s best and brightest-from fields such as economics, business, engineering, law, medicine, natural sciences and the liberal arts-and we have advised leading clients in numerous industries, including finance, banking, electronics, chemicals, energy, trading, construction, telecommunications, healthcare and distribution, to name a few.
The Seoul office has also contributed back to Korean society through numerous pro-bono efforts. Examples of these efforts include our well-received "Vision Korea 2010," "Woman Korea," "Blueprint for Reshaping the Korean Healthcare System," and joint project with SBS (Seoul Broadcasting System) on Future Korea Report titled "The Agequake in Korea; How to Cope with the Challenge." We also aspire to be a leadership development institution for Korea through offering unparalleled development opportunities to our people and helping improve the capability of the clients we work with.
McKinsey Seoul office plans on holding Advanced Professional Degree - Introductory Training Program (APD-ITP) in France (TBD) on March 18-20, 2005 for Korean students and the ones with experiences in France, Germany and UK. We have held this event for the past 5 years in the US and would like to try a new initiative in Europe. This would be a great opportunity for APD candidates to know more about McKinsey and its consulting.
